As a start-up to the CRAG-based activities for the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, and one week short of the official commemorative event for Holocaust Memorial Day, CRAG is privileged to announce:

TALK by DR TESSA HOFMANN (Berlin), "EUROPE, TURKEY & THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE", THURSDAY, 20 JANUARY 2005, at 7:30 PM. Moderator, Mr Raffi Sarkissian, Chair, CRAG

Lecture Room 336, Senate House, School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES), 3rd Floor North Block, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HU, University College London (UCL)

Dr Hofmann is a prominent German historian and academic from the Free University in Berlin who has researched extensively on the Armenian Genocide and has worked closely with EU institutions.

Dr Hofmann's qualifications include Studies of Slavonic languages and literatures at the Free University Berlin, as well as Armenian studies, sociology and postgraduate research at the State Universities of St Petersburg, Yerevan and Tbilisi.

Dr Hofmann is a volunteer Human Rights activist with several honours as well as an extensive portfolio of writings and publications.

Location: Just off Russell Square, and nearest tube stations are Russell Square on the Piccadilly line or Goodge Street on the Northern line.

A complimentary wine reception will follow the talk, and you are all encouraged to attend this exceptional event by one of the authorities worldwide on this topic.
