Church of England talks about the Armenian Genocide - 13 June 2004

On Sunday, 13th of June, 2004, at a special Sung Eucharist ceremony by the Archbishop of Canterbury in Canterbury Cathedral as part of the official functions held by the Church of England on the occasion of the official visit of His Holiness Catholicos Karekin II, a representative of the Church of England welcomed His Holiness, and repeated the position of the Church of England as recognising the Armenian holocaust as an act of Genocide.

On Tuesday, 15th of June, 2004, at a reception held in honour of His Holiness, Catholicos Karekin II in Manchester, the His Grace the Anglican Bishop of Manchester welcomed His Holiness and repeated the position of the Church of England in recognising the Armenian Genocide of 1915, and proceeded to express the hope of the Church of England that the British Government should also recognize this undeniable fact.
